Elan E6
PERFORMANCE
With lightness, sports equipment and a myriad of trimming options, these yachts are designed not only to be enjoyed by a cruising family but also to be sailed fast by an ambitious crew. Join a regatta or two and be among the first around the buoy.
PLANNING POTENTIAL
This yacht can be configured in a low displacement configuration, which allows the yacht to achieve its full planning potential, designed into the hull and sail plan by Humphreys Yacht Design. Fly the kite, rise from the water and plane!
COMPOSITE BULKHEADS
The composite version ensures an unbroken surface along the bulkhead and an equal distribution of mechanical loads through the cross-section. The vacuum-cured resin-impregnated biaxial fabric takes the stiffness and durability to the next level and ensures the most compact structure.
TWIN RUDDERS
Twin rudders provide exceptional control and reduce the tendency to broach. The yacht does not stall easily, as her pitching moment is reduced. The twin rudder system provides finger-tip directional control, especially when heeled.
TWIN HELM
Elan yachts were among the first production yachts to incorporate a twin-helm system, borrowing the concept from the offshore racing world. Now a staple in yacht design, the Jefa twin-wheel steering enables easy manoeuvring from both sides of the yacht while not impeding movement in the cockpit. Twin helms also introduce a new level of redundancy on your bluewater cruises, especially when paired with twin rudders.
VAIL HULL
As the only sure way to prevent osmosis, and to ensure uniform stiffness, lightness and safety, Elan was one of the first serial yacht manufacturers to adopt the Vacuum-Assisted Infusion Lamination back in 2003. VAIL enables the complete saturation of resin and removes human error from the process.
3D VAIL
In essence, 3D VAIL technology integrates the inner yacht structure, stringers and stringer supports into the hull itself using vacuum-assisted infusion. When fully applied, this complicated and expensive process creates a one-piece laminated structure out of all the load-bearing elements of the yacht, increasing the stiffness and lightness and ensuring the best mechanical properties.
T-SHAPED KEEL
The T-shaped keel lowers the centre of gravity and enables enhanced sail-carrying power, increasing speed and stability of the yacht.

Technology and Performance
Compared to the other yachts in Elan’s repertoire, the Humphreys Yacht Design team distilled even more performance into this project, while keeping the dual-purpose ethos that has been the hallmark of the E Line range for years.
Powered by Elan’s high-tech composite know-how and pushed to the next level by industry-leading specialist Gurit, Elan’s E6 is built with the highest consumer-level technology on the market.
Lighter than the competitors in its class, the E6 is the fusion of performance engineering and enriching sailing experiences. This twin rudder and helm yacht utilises 3D VAIL technology for ultimate lightness and stiffness, and a dedicated hull with a T-shape keel.

Design and Comfort
While the yacht has been designed to be easily sailed by an experienced pair, the E6 truly shines with a good crew. Three pairs of Harken winches, ideally positioned for precision trimming and fast unobstructed movements, are the result of 1:1 scale model in-house testing with an Olympic sailing team.
Optional storage boxes with a grill, sink and refrigerator are available, as well as two sizes of bathing platforms. Along the other lockers, mainsheet ropes are fed to dedicated boxes on the cockpit sides.
Carefully designed for the perfect blend of aesthetics and functionality by Pininfarina, the enticing and practical interior invites perfect living at sea. The creative form is brought alive by the natural oak veneered interior and enriched with a solid wood finish.
Optional okoume furniture keeps the weight down, while not hindering the boat’s luxurious look and feel. The carefully selected colour-scheme complements the yacht’s beautiful lines, flowing from the rear cabins all the way to the master cabin’s island bed, invoking the feeling of elegance in motion.

Equipment Highlights
Equipment
Fixed Carbon Bowsprit
Installed in the standard configuration, the longer carbon bowsprit enables one to sail deeper downwind and makes sure the asymmetric gennaker or code 0 is less blanketed by the mainsail and more of the sail area is used.
Teak in the cockpit and on the platform
All yachts come equipped with artificial teak in the cockpit and on the bathing platform (if ordered). Can be upgraded to a full teak deck and real teak.
Bow Thruster
The addition of a bow thruster makes the life of any skipper easier and the wallet of the investor less burdened in the long run. Enjoy the benefits of easy manoeuvrability in any marina and avoid collisions.
Large Bathing Platform
Choose the large bathing platform and extend the outside living area substantially. Increase the safety for children and pets by closing up the transom. Sunbathe, fish, shower and enjoy life at sea, just above the water surface!
Cockpit Boxes
An incredibly popular and innovative feature, the cockpit boxes provide additional storage and seating space. They can be upgraded to hold a cockpit grill and a refrigerator for ultimate enjoyment aboard!
Double Berth in the Saloon
As an option, the saloon area can be easily converted into a double berth, enabling more accommodation for larger crews. Perfect for charter yachts and owners with large families or plenty of friends.
ANCHOR WINDLASS
Deploy your anchor with a simple and convenient push of a button. Manage it at the anchor locker or with a remote, a feature created for single-handed sailors. Be confident at your anchorage with a chaincounter.
